How to Set Up Flix IPTV Player on a Smart TV, Firestick & Android TV

Flix IPTV, which also calls itself Flix TV and FlixApp, is a player for M3U playlists. Its developer runs flixiptv.eu and says plainly that the app “is a player, not a content host”: it ships with no channels, and you supply the playlist from your own provider. Flix IPTV is a third-party app and is not made by us. The steps below follow the developer’s instructions, activation terms and FAQ; check the live pages for current details.

Which Devices Does Flix IPTV Support?

Flix IPTV is aimed mainly at smart televisions. The developer’s site lists download buttons for Samsung TV and LG TV, plus Google Play and the App Store, and offers an Android APK for devices without a store listing. Its activation terms name Smart TVs, Android devices, iOS devices, Apple TV, Samsung TVs, LG TVs and Amazon Fire Stick.

How Flix IPTV Setup Works

Flix IPTV is set up from a website, not from inside the app. Each television is identified by its MAC address, which the app shows on screen. You then go to the developer’s My List page on another device, enter that MAC address with your playlist link, and the app loads the list the next time it starts.

You never type a long link with a TV remote, but the playlist, parental PIN and activation all belong to that MAC address, so note it carefully.

How to Install Flix IPTV on a Samsung or LG Smart TV

On a Samsung or LG television, install Flix IPTV from the TV’s own app store; there is nothing to sideload.

1. Press the home button and open the app store: Apps on Samsung, or the LG Content Store on LG.
2. Search for Flix IPTV and install it.
3. Open the app and write down the MAC address on the start screen.
4. Continue with the playlist upload below.

How to Install Flix IPTV on a Firestick

Sideload Flix IPTV with Downloader. The developer’s Fire TV instructions say the app is not in the Amazon Appstore and give an APK address to enter in Downloader. A current APK link is also listed on the My List page at flixiptv.eu.

1. Install Downloader by AFTVnews from the Amazon Appstore.
2. Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options and turn on Apps from Unknown Sources. If a list of apps appears instead, turn it on for Downloader. If Developer Options is missing, open Settings → My Fire TV → About and press select on the device name 7 times.
3. Open Downloader and type the Android APK address shown on the developer’s My List page.
4. Choose Install, then delete the installer file to free space.
5. Open Flix IPTV and note the MAC address it shows.

How to Install Flix IPTV on Android TV and Google TV

The developer’s Android instructions say Flix IPTV is on Google Play for supported devices. If the store on your box does not show it, install the Android APK from the My List page with Downloader or a file manager, the same way as on a Firestick. The developer adds that a television with no Play Store is not an Android TV and cannot run the Android app.

How to Upload Your Playlist to Flix IPTV

Enter your TV’s MAC address and your M3U link on the My List page at flixiptv.eu, then fully restart the app.

1. On a phone or computer, open flixiptv.eu and go to Mylist.
2. Type the MAC address exactly as the TV shows it.
3. Paste the M3U link from your provider into the URL field and select Send.
4. On the television, exit Flix IPTV completely and open it again. The developer’s remote guide notes that exiting is required to reload the playlist.

Flix IPTV works from M3U links, not an Xtream Codes login form. If your provider sent a server address, username and password, ask for the M3U version of the same account. Activation, the Trial and Payment Terms

Flix IPTV starts on a trial. To keep using it, each device needs a one-time activation linked to its MAC address. You can pay on the developer’s website or through an in-app purchase.

Activation covers one device, so two televisions need two activations. The developer states that payments are final and non-refundable, and that when a trial expires its data is removed from the device and the servers. Its FAQ asks people not to buy without a working playlist. Use the trial to check that your channels play on that television, then activate.

Does Flix IPTV Have a TV Guide?

Flix IPTV has no built-in guide data of its own. The developer’s FAQ says it does not have an integrated EPG system, but a provider’s guide will work if the provider’s system is EPG-ready. In practice that means a playlist whose channels carry guide codes, such as the tvg-idattribute the developer’s playlist page describes. On Samsung and LG remotes, the developer maps the green button to the guide. If no programme information appears, the playlist or provider is the place to look. Settings and Remote Buttons Worth Knowing

These options and buttons come from the developer’s instructions and FAQ:

• External player. On Android and Fire TV you can pick VLC or MX Player in settings if films, series or channels play badly. Install that player first.
• Themes. The settings menu offers three themes.
• Parental PIN. The default PIN listed on the My List page is 0000. Change it on that page with your MAC address.
• Blue button. Switches between live TV, films and series.
• Yellow button. Adds the channel, film or series to favourites.
• Red button. Opens audio track and subtitle options while a film or series plays.

Fixing Common Flix IPTV Problems

Most Flix IPTV problems come down to the MAC address, the provider’s server or the TV’s own format support. The developer’s FAQ covers each one:

• Playlist uploaded but nothing changes. Exit the app fully and reopen it. Then check that the MAC address on screen matches the one you entered.
• The MAC address changed. You switched between Wi-Fi and Ethernet. Each TV has one address for each, so go back to the connection you registered.
• The app freezes on startup. It loads the playlist from your provider every time it opens, so a slow or unresponsive provider server causes the freeze.
• The playlist works on a computer but not the TV. The developer gives two causes: your internet provider blocking it on that network, or the television not supporting the stream format. Not every TV model plays every format.
• The app will not start at all. Check the TV’s internet connection first.
• Constant buffering. Try an external player on Android or Fire TV, then work through our buffering fixes for IPTV.

When Another Player Suits You Better

If you watch on a Firestick or Android TV box and want to type your login straight into the app, a player with an Xtream Codes login and its own guide may suit you better.
