Install TiviMate: Guide for Every Device

How to install TiviMate on Firestick, Android TV, NVIDIA Shield, Chromecast, phones and Windows, what to do on Roku, and how to add your first playlist.

To install TiviMate, use the Google Play Store on Android TV, Google TV, NVIDIA Shield and Chromecast with Google TV, or sideload it with the Downloader app on an Amazon Firestick. TiviMate is Android-only: there is no Roku, Apple, Samsung, LG or Windows version, so those devices need an emulator, screen mirroring or a different player. Once installed, the app is empty until you add a playlist from an IPTV provider.

TiviMate is an IPTV player made by Armobsoft FZE. It is not our product — Tivimate IPTV is a separate subscription service, and this page is an independent guide to getting the player onto your hardware. How you install TiviMate depends entirely on which operating system your device runs, so start by finding your device in the table below and follow the guide written for it.

The Three Ways TiviMate Gets Installed

Every device guide above is a variation on one of three routes. Knowing which one applies to you tells you most of what the install will involve.

1. From the Google Play Store

Devices that run Android TV or Google TV carry the Play Store, and TiviMate is listed there for TV devices. You search for it, select Install, and it updates itself afterwards like any other app. This covers Sony, TCL, Hisense and Philips sets running Google TV, plus the NVIDIA Shield, Chromecast with Google TV and Onn boxes. It is the simplest route and the one to prefer when your device offers it.

2. Sideloaded with Downloader

Amazon’s Fire OS is built on Android but uses Amazon’s own app store, where TiviMate is not listed. On a Firestick you install the free Downloader app, give it permission to install unknown apps, and use it to fetch the installer file. The TiviMate Downloader code guide walks through each screen. A sideloaded app does not update itself, so you repeat the download when a new version is released.

3. Through an emulator or a mirror

Windows and Roku cannot run Android apps directly. On a PC you run TiviMate inside an Android emulator; on Roku you either mirror an Android phone or plug an inexpensive Android TV stick into a spare HDMI port. Both are workarounds, and the Windows guide and Roku guide are plain about where each one falls short.

Before You Install: A Short Checklist

  • Free storage. Low-storage sticks refuse installs and updates when nearly full. Clear unused apps first if your device warns about space.
  • Your provider details. Have either the Xtream Codes server address, username and password, or the M3U link, ready to type in.
  • A stable connection. Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi makes the first playlist and guide download far quicker.
  • A Google account if you are installing from the Play Store.

After Installing: Add a Playlist

A fresh install opens to a prompt asking for a playlist, because the player contains no channels of its own. You choose Xtream Codes, an M3U link or a Stalker portal, enter the details your provider sent, and wait while the channel list and programme guide load. The add a playlist to TiviMate guide covers all three methods and the mistakes that cause a login to fail. If you subscribe to our service, the Tivimate IPTV with TiviMate walkthrough uses the exact details from your welcome message.

No provider yet? A player needs a subscription to have anything to show. You can request a 24-hour Tivimate IPTV trial and use it to check that the app, your device and your connection all work together before paying for anything.

Devices TiviMate Does Not Support

There is no TiviMate build for Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, Samsung Tizen TVs, LG webOS TVs or MAG boxes. Pages that offer a download for those platforms are offering something else. On that hardware the practical choice is a player written for it — see the setup guides for Apple TV, Samsung and LG, or the list of TiviMate alternatives. Adding a Fire TV or Google TV stick to the television is the other common answer.

When the Install Goes Wrong

An “app not installed” message usually means too little free storage or an incomplete download; delete the installer file, free some space and fetch it again. A Play Store listing that is missing usually means the device is not a certified Android TV device, in which case sideloading with Downloader is the fallback. If the app installs but will not play, that is a different problem — start with the TiviMate not working guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which devices can run TiviMate?

TiviMate is an Android app built for the TV screen. It installs on Android TV and Google TV sets and boxes, NVIDIA Shield, Chromecast with Google TV, Onn boxes and Amazon Fire TV devices. It can be installed on Android phones and tablets, although the interface is designed for a remote. There is no version for Roku, Apple TV, iPhone, Samsung Tizen, LG webOS or Windows.

Is TiviMate in the Amazon Appstore?

No. On Fire TV devices TiviMate is sideloaded: you install the Downloader app from the Amazon Appstore, allow it to install unknown apps, and use it to fetch the TiviMate installer. On Android TV and Google TV devices it is listed in the Google Play Store and installs like any other app.

Does installing TiviMate give me channels?

No. TiviMate is a player and ships with no channels, playlists or streams. After installing it you add a playlist from an IPTV provider, using either Xtream Codes login details or an M3U link. Without a playlist the app opens to an empty screen.

Do I need TiviMate Premium to install the app?

No. The app installs and plays a single playlist without paying. Premium is an optional upgrade bought from the developer that adds features such as several playlists, recording, catch-up and multiview. You can install first, check that your playlist plays, and decide on Premium later.
