There is no better medicine than a great comedy series. Whether you are after a classic British sitcom, a sharp satirical comedy, or a feel-good American series, 2026 has delivered an exceptional range of options. Here is our curated list of the best comedy shows streaming in the USA right now.
The Best British Comedies to Watch Right Now
The Bear (Hulu / Disney+)
Technically a drama-comedy hybrid, The Bear is the most intense and funniest show of the last five years. A Chicago restaurant kitchen depicted with documentary-like realism — the comedy comes from recognition, stress and brilliant character writing. Season 3 continues to impress.
Fleabag (BBC iPlayer / Amazon Prime)
Phoebe Waller-Bridge's two-series masterpiece remains one of the greatest things ever made for television. If you have not watched it, you are missing out on something truly special. Both series are short enough to binge in a single evening.
This Country (BBC iPlayer)
The mockumentary that launched the Coopers is desperately funny, unexpectedly moving, and captures something true about rural English life. Three series of near-perfect comedy television.
What We Do in the Shadows (BBC Three / UKTV)
The vampire mockumentary that keeps getting better. Now in its sixth season, the Staten Island house of vampire roommates remains one of the most reliably funny shows in US comedy. Streaming in the USA on Hulu.

Only Murders in the Building
Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez investigate murders in a New York apartment building via a true-crime podcast. Enormously charming, consistently funny and genuinely mysterious. Three brilliant series available to binge.
