When the TiviMate EPG is not updating, force a refresh first: open Settings, choose EPG, and run Update EPG. If the guide stays empty, check that the playlist has a working guide source, since M3U playlists often need the address added by hand. Wrong times are fixed with the time offset, and single channels with no data are fixed by assigning their guide entry manually. An out-of-date source at the provider needs the provider to fix it.
The EPG — electronic programme guide — is the grid of what is on now and next. In TiviMate it is a separate download from the channel list, which is why channels can play perfectly while the guide is blank, stale or shifted by an hour. The fixes below run from the quickest to the most involved. For the background on what guide data is, see what is an EPG. TiviMate is a third-party player by Armobsoft FZE.
Match the Symptom to the Fix
| Symptom | Start with |
|---|---|
| Guide was fine, now stops at yesterday | Fix 1, then Fix 3 |
| Guide is empty on every channel | Fix 2 |
| All programmes are shifted by whole hours | Fix 4 |
| Some channels have data, others none | Fix 5 |
| Update runs but fails or never finishes | Fixes 6 and 7 |
Fix 1: Force a Manual Update
Open Settings → EPG and choose Update EPG. Leave the app open while it downloads; a large guide takes a minute or more. If the grid fills in, the automatic schedule was the problem — go to Fix 3.
Fix 2: Check the Guide Source
In the EPG settings, open the list of EPG sources. There should be at least one address, and it should be switched on for your playlist.
- With an Xtream Codes playlist the address is created automatically. If it is missing, remove the playlist and add it again.
- With an M3U playlist you often have to add it yourself. Ask your provider for the EPG link and enter it as a new source.
- An address with a typing error downloads nothing and may not report an error. Re-enter it carefully.
The add a playlist to TiviMate guide explains the difference between the two playlist types.
Fix 3: Set the Update Schedule
Still in the EPG settings, switch on the option to update when the app starts, and set the update interval to once a day. Devices that are put to sleep rather than switched off may never restart the app, so the timed interval matters more than the on-start option.
Fix 4: Correct the Time Offset
If every programme is early or late by the same number of hours:
- Check the device’s date, time and time zone in its system settings, and set it to use network time.
- Restart TiviMate and look again. A wrong device clock is the usual cause.
- If the clock is right, open the guide source in TiviMate’s EPG settings and adjust its time offset by the number of hours needed.
Expect to revisit the offset when clocks change for daylight saving, if the source does not account for it.
Fix 5: Assign Guide Data to Individual Channels
When most channels have listings and a few do not, the identifiers do not match. Highlight the channel, hold the select button, and choose the option to assign EPG. Search for the channel by name in the list that appears and select the matching entry. Regional versions of a channel are often listed separately, so pick the one for the right region or the times will be off.
Fix 6: Clear the Guide and Download It Fresh
A download interrupted halfway can leave the stored guide in a bad state. In the EPG settings choose Clear EPG, then Update EPG. This removes only guide data; playlists and favourites are untouched.
Fix 7: Free Up Storage
Guide files for large playlists are big, and a stick with little free space can fail to save them. Check the device’s storage, remove unused apps, and reduce the number of past days of guide data TiviMate keeps. Hiding channel groups you never watch also shrinks the amount of guide data the app has to hold.
Fix 8: Rule Out the Source Itself
If the guide ends on the same day for everyone using the service, the provider’s guide file has stopped being refreshed, and nothing on your device will change that. Report it to the provider with the date the listings stop. In the meantime the channels still play; only the listings are missing.
Guide Features That Depend on Good Data
Catch-up, programme reminders and scheduled recordings all read from the guide, so a shifted or missing guide breaks them too. If a scheduled recording started at the wrong time, fix the offset before blaming the recorder.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does TiviMate say No information for every channel?
The app has no guide data to show. Either no guide source is attached to the playlist, which is common with M3U links, or the source failed to download. Add or re-enter the guide address in the EPG settings and run a manual update.
Why is my TiviMate guide an hour out?
The guide data is stamped in one time zone and displayed in another. Check that the device's own clock and time zone are correct first. If they are, apply a time offset to the guide source in TiviMate's EPG settings, moving it forward or back until programmes line up.
How often does TiviMate update the EPG?
As often as the update interval in the EPG settings tells it to, and optionally every time the app starts. A daily update suits most guide sources, which are themselves refreshed once or twice a day.
Do I need Premium for the EPG to work?
No. The programme guide works in the free version of TiviMate. Premium adds extras around it, such as catch-up and scheduled recording from the guide.
Why do only some channels have guide data?
A guide source lists programmes by channel identifier. Channels whose identifier in the playlist does not match one in the guide file get no data. You can assign the correct guide channel by hand, and some channels simply have no listings available from the source.
